Governor Kate Brown, along with California Governor Gavin Newsom and Washington Governor Jay Inslee are working together in a unified approach to reopening our economies. On Tuesday, Governor Brown shared her framework for restarting public life and business.
To avoid a spike of cases, which is possible if we move too quickly on loosening restrictions, Oregon is working on all of the following: increasing personal protective equipment, assessing hospital surge capacity, robust testing, tracing and isolation strategy, and strategies that alleviate hardest hit and vulnerable populations, including nursing homes and people experiencing homelessness.
