Bureau directors join Mayor Wheeler to highlight the City of Portland’s actions to improve livability

With the first decade of the new century coming to an end in less than two weeks, Mayor Ted Wheeler will take a look back at the work done by the City of Portland to improve livability and address community needs during the past 12 months. Mayor Wheeler will be joined by bureau directors from Prosper Portland, the Portland Housing Bureau, the Portland Police Bureau and the Joint Office of Homeless Services in Council Chambers on Friday to share highlights from 2019, and what’s in store for 2020.

 Portland is a city that  works, and through collaboration with colleagues and partners—both public and private—the Mayor’s office has been able to accomplish much in 2019.
