We embrace bicycling here. Our growing network of over 400 miles of bikeways, including 100 miles of low-stress neighborhood greenways as well as multiuse paths make it easy to get to your destination by bike. And most Portlanders live within a quarter mile of a bikeway.

If you're visiting, showing guests around, or just want to be a tourist in your own town, check out these popular rides and local attractions. The routes are all loops, ending back at the start location, and use low-stress bikeways to show off parks, neighborhoods and more.  


Free bike rides and classes 

The Portland By Cycle program offers guided bike rides all across town and classes to build skills in a supportive environment perfect for adults new to cycling, new to the area, or those just getting back on the bike. Events typically take place from February to October. You can sign up via email to learn about events as they pop up.
