(April 10, 2020) Maintenance crews from the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will begin critical repairs to the northernmost westbound lane on West Burnside Street from NW 24th Place to NW Maywood Drive starting on Monday, April 13 and continuing through Friday, April 17 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Crews will be making repairs to the damaged roadway in the area of the recent landslide.

We ask the public to travel slowly and cautiously when passing the work zone, observe all lane detours and directions by reader boards and flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.

Special note regarding Covid-19 and construction work

PBOT has been in modified operations since March 17. The bureau has introduced significant changes to its maintenance operations. To ensure that Portlanders can still travel safely to fulfill their essential needs, crews are focused on maintaining critical assets such as traffic signals, conducting urgent repairs, and responding to emergency situations—including the recent landslide on West Burnside.

We're focused on delivering critical repairs and maintenance while taking specific steps to keep our workforce safe. These include modified shifts, social distancing, and other precautions based on current guidelines from local, state, and federal health officials. Thank you for giving our crews the space and time they need to keep our city moving.
