Private for-hire services include taxis, transportation network companies (TNCs), limousines, party buses, executive sedans, town cars, tour vehicles, non-emergency medical transport, pedicabs, quadricycles, and horse-drawn carriages.

Safe Ride Home

A partnership to prevent impaired driving, working with taxis, transportation network companies, police and bar owners to offer reduced-cost rides home on targeted holidays.

Safe Routes to School

A partnership between the City of Portland, schools, neighborhoods, community organizations and agencies, continuing to increase safety and improve health for students and their families.

Sunday Parkways

Promotes healthy active living through a series of free events opening the city's largest public space - its streets - to walk, bike, roll, and discover active transportation. Presented by Kaiser Permanente.

Transportation Projects

Management and delivery of transportation construction projects. Local improvement districts. Transformation of the central city for all travel modes. Partners with regional agencies. The Capital Projects team at the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT).

Transportation Wallet

Residents and employees who live or work within the NW Parking District are eligible to purchase a Transportation Wallet, or trade in an eligible parking permit and receive one for free.

Vision Zero

Through the Vision Zero program, the City of Portland and our partners are working to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on our streets.
