We are migrating our website to a new platform. New information is being added daily. We want the new Portland.gov to be a community-oriented website where services are easy to find, easy to access, and easy to understand.
If you bought and planted a yard tree between September 1 and April 30, you may be eligible for a Treebate. The Treebate is a one-time rebate on your City of Portland sewer/stormwater/water utility bill for planting a tree.
Our green street planters can get clogged, littered with trash, or need maintenance. If you notice a problem with a green street planter, please notify us. We welcome your help in keeping our rivers and streams clean.
Users of City property must show proof of insurance for certain events. An option to purchase Tenants User Liability Insurance Program (TULIP) through the City is available:
•Meets City requirements •Liability and property damage •Cost effective
•Liquor liability optional •Covers most events
"Street trees" are usually planted in the strip of property between a sidewalk and the street. Trees may be planted even if you don’t have a curb or sidewalk. Request an inspection to find out if your multi-family, commercial, or industrial property is eligible to receive a free street tree here.
City Risk Subrogation pursues parties who damage City property. We recover the cost of repairs, or take legal action for non-payment against parties at fault. We work with City bureaus to identify the costs, then engage the district attorney, insurance companies, and citizens to recover those costs.
