Information for City of Portland employees on how to prepare for emergencies.
As businesses reopen, the City of Portland and Multnomah County Health Department have created videos to educate the community on how to stay safe and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The videos are translated in more than 35 languages. Please help us to share this information.
The City of Portland has placed hygiene stations throughout the community—portable toilets and handwashing stations—so that everyone has access to this critical health tool.
Portland Parks & Recreation and the Homelessness and Urban Camping Impact Reduction Program (HUCIRP) have partnered together to keep 54 parks restrooms open to the public during this emergency. We expect these restrooms to be accessible at all hours of the day.

Portland COAD

Information
The Portland COAD is a network of community organizations that prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters like heatwaves, winter weather and earthquakes. Many of our COAD partners are a trusted source of information for their communities and are providing lifeline services every week.
The Portland Mitigation Action Plan (MAP) is the City’s strategy to reduce risks from natural hazards.
On October 23, 2019, Portland City Council passed two items involving earthquakes and unreinforced masonry buildings.
