Share your thoughts on the draft West Portland Town Center Plan

You’re invited! Join your neighbors to review and discuss ideas for growing an inclusive, healthy, and people-centered West Portland Town Center. Attend the open house in person on March 4, or view our online open house and fill out the survey after March 5.

West Portland has the makings of a dynamic, multi-cultural and amenity-rich community hub. In the coming years, even more people and businesses are expected in SW Portland, so it’s time to plan for the improvements and benefits the community would like to see with that growth and change – with or without light rail.

Your input needed!

Join us to review three new scenarios for the future of the West Portland Town Center area. These scenarios (conceptual diagrams on a map) reflect the Community Goals for the town center and the results of last November’s community design workshop. Now we need your input again to narrow the choices down and get closer to a preferred town center plan.

Mark your calendars for an engaging and informative evening with your neighbors and fellow community members. Come share your thoughts on possible futures for this area and learn about ideas to create more housing options and possible changes to commercial areas, open spaces, streets, and bike/pedestrian connections. You can also view SW Corridor Light Rail designs in town center area.

In-person open house is on March 4, 6-8 pm. Drop in any time. Brief overview presentations at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Can’t make it on March 4? The West Portland Town Center growth concepts and related information will be available online March 5 and the survey to provide feedback will be open through March 18.

The input received at this open house and online will be used to further refine ideas for the area and develop a proposed town center plan. An early summer Discussion Draft open house, with more opportunities to comment, is also planned for the next phase of this work.
