Highlights

All the concepts include a new main street on SW Collins St east of Capitol Hwy, redevelopment of the Barbur Transit Center (BTC) and preservation of larger low-cost apartment complexes in area. Highlights include the unique features of each growth concept to show how they are different.

  • Mixed use buildings (residential + commercial) along Barbur corridor 
  • Residential growth in new multi-dwelling buildings both north and south of Barbur 
  • A multicultural mixed use hub near the Barbur Transit Center 
  • Enhanced green streetscapes, including sections of Barbur, Capitol Highway and Luradel  
  • Improvements to sections of main streets, such as Huber and Taylors Ferry
