ZERO is proud to present a two-session series of workshops focused on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the sustainable building industry. The first workshop will cover basic definitions and the concepts of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, uncovering implicit biases, and actions to implement immediate change. The second workshop will take a deeper look at issues in our region such as gentrification, environmental issues, and the needs of local communities. Participants will leave empowered with responsibility and impact.

Projected Audience: architects, engineers, contractors, project managers, consultants, policymakers, and others in the sustainable building industry who are either beginners or have an intermediate understanding of equity topics.

The presenters, Marcelo Bonta, Dr. Derron Cole, and Vinh Mason, were selected based on their extensive knowledge and experience as well as their ability to make the curriculum interactive and engaging. This training is offered with support by Energy Trust of Oregon, Birdsmouth, PAE, and the City of Portland's Bureau of Planning and Sustainability.
