Annual energy performance reporting
If you prefer to use a private firm to complete the reporting process on your behalf, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC) maintains a directory of businesses that can help owners with compliance. Visit NEEC at www.neec.net/portland-benchmarking-providers.
Verifying energy performance information
The energy performance information reported to the City annually is considered self-reported. Some buildings managers take an additional voluntary step to have this information verified by a licensed professional.
In addition to lending credibility to the data that is published by the City annually, verified or certified buildings are eligible for special recognition. ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® maintains a searchable directory of licensed professionals that can help building owners verify the information in their building profile. The review is typically performed by either a registered architect or professional engineer.
