The following documents provide a summary of the engagement process for and community feedback on the City’s draft Climate Emergency Declaration, which was published by Mayor Wheeler on February 12, 2020.

The first document summarizes the themes that emerged from community feedback and includes a list of potential actions the City could take.

Portlanders submitted close to 300 comments on the draft document. All public comments received between February 12 – March 22, 2020, can be found in the document below. Addresses, phone numbers, and emails have been removed from comments.

Staff from the Office of Mayor Ted Wheeler and the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability are continuing to update the draft Climate Emergency Declaration. An updated draft will be posted to this webpage soon.
