On Thursday, May 14 at 2 p.m., Portland City Council will hold a public hearing on the Expanding Opportunities for Affordable Housing project. Convened to help community-based organizations use their buildable land to provide affordable housing, the project will be one more tool in the City’s housing toolbox.

To help community members who are following the project prepare to provide testimony at the Council hearing, we are holding two virtual Q&A sessions. Nan Stark, the project manager, will be available to answer questions and talk about ways to testify on:

Both sessions will be available to anyone who wishes to participate using Zoom.

If you are unable to attend these online sessions, please send your questions by email to Nan Stark at nan.stark@portlandoregon.gov or call Nan at 503-823-3986

Don’t want to testify virtually? Portlanders can submit written testimony until the date of the hearing (May 14) in two ways:

  • Testify on the Map App: Select the Expanding Opportunities for Affordable Housing project, then the Testify button to enter your testimony.
  • Send a letter to: City Council, Expanding Opportunities for Affordable Housing testimony, 1221 SW 4th Ave Room 130, Portland OR 97204.

Written testimony will close on May 14.
